The three awards were for;

Outstanding Timely Success – Construct HR

Extract from award presentation speech; Clive Eley announced:-

“The Timely Success Award honours those partners who have shown dedication and commitment to achieving exceptional learner retention and success.  The LSC national benchmark for Train to Gain success rates in 2008/09 was 73.2%, with the college achieving an overall rate of 76% during that time.  The partners we celebrate tonight have all achieved a success rate of over 90%, Construct HR achieving 93%. We would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their contribution to the college’s achievements, and celebrate with them the hard work and commitment they have shown to the college, their learners and their employers.”

Outstanding Customer Service – Tony Hone

Extract from award presentation speech; Clive Eley announced:-

“Tony Hone has been employed by Construct HR for nearly two and a half years. His career in construction – from owning his own business, developing NVQ site workers for Construction Skills (CITB) and moving into site management – eventually led Tony to be a part of the team at Construct HR for the Balfour Beatty group.

Here, he has assessed and developed over 150 NVQ Level 3 and 4 candidates.  National Grid carried out a training audit survey where Tony was interviewed and given outstanding feedback on his development of candidates assessed within the Electricity Alliance East.

He is a key and well respected employee of the Construct HR partner to West Nottingham College.”

Commitment to Overall Workforce Development – Balfour Beatty Group

from award presentation speech; Clive Eley announced:-

“Balfour Beatty Group has worked with the college for the last three years to develop their overall workforce, providing NVQs to their In Plant and associated trades, supervisors and management staff to up-skill their employees.

In addition to the provision of NVQs the Balfour Beatty Group has embraced the wider requirements of the college to improve their quality of teaching.  The company has one of the best success rates within the college Train to Gain contract, ensuring self assessment, quality improvement and equality throughout the learner programme.

This award recognises their total commitment to provide training to highest possible standards”
