Harness/Fall Arrest Equipment

Who should attend

The training is intended for those people who need to work in areas where they are exposed to a fall of two metres or more.

Aim of Course

To provide individuals with the necessary skills to work safely at height in accordance with current health and safety legislation. The course will provide delegates with both theoretical and practical skills required in order to use personal protective equipment to protect themselves from the hazards associated with working at height.

Course Content

On completion of the course all delegates will be able to:

  • Describe the dangers of working at height
  • Describe the main legislation that governs working at height
  • Demonstrate the ability to select and use a range of personal protective equipment for work at height
  • Describe and demonstrate the correct method of inspection, storing and maintaining personal protective equipment

Training Method

By traditional lecture, visual aids and practical demonstration.

Course Duration
